THE IDENTIFICATION OF BANDUNG ZOO'S IMPACT ON THE CONDITION OF ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL, AND ECONOMIC OF COMMUNITIES IN LEBAK SILIWANGI VILLAGE, BANDUNG CITY

As a primary tourist attraction as well as the only zoo in the city of Bandung, the development of Bandung Zoo tourism continues nowadays through various tourism activities. Tourism has some impacts not only on tourist attraction itself, but also on the local community. Bandung Zoo has been established for 90 years, it suspected that Bandung Zoo has contributed greatly to the local community. Moreover, the location is adjacent to the urban-village named Lebak Siliwangi, especially those living in RW 05, RW 06, RW 07 and RW 08. The purpose of this research is to identify the impact of the Bandung Zoo by viewing from social, environmental and economic perspective. To gain the purpose, researchers collect data through observation, interviews, distribution of questionnaires and literature review. The method used in this research are descriptive analysis, content analysis and association analysis. The results shows that the impacts of the Bandung Zoo on the environment are causing traffic jams on weekends and holiday seasons, pollution of Cikapayang River, and pollution of animal sounds. Meanwhile, economically, Bandung Zoo does not provide many job opportunities and does not improve people's economy. Although, there are still a few people whose economy is helped by selling outside the zoo. Last is from social point of view, most of the people are not involved in the development of Bandung Zoo tourism. However, they still support tourist attractions and receive tourist arrivals positively
