Description
Summary:Lontara script is a script that comes from the Bugis-Makassar tribe. Currently, the Lontara script is starting to be forgotten by many people, including the younger generation. This is because of the education curriculum that has removed local content subjects from compulsory lessons. Thus, only a few regions apply local content lessons. Streetwear is a fashion style that is in demand by today's youth. This study is meant to understand the wants to reintroduce the Lontara script through a more modern and attractive visual patterns design by applying a type of fashion in the form of streetwear. The methods are fabric printing for the basics. The finished patterns can then be detected by Augmented Reality (AR) in order to translate the script into Indonesian. The results of this study are three sets of clothes with the theme of Sigajang Laleng Lipa’ (sarong fighting), which is a problem solving tradition in South Sulawesi.
