Description
Summary:Efforts to reduce environmental damage by seeking new alternatives, more environmentally friendly, and biodegradable materials are significant. One of them is using natural fibers that offer renewable properties, durability, and excellent biodegradability, thereby avoiding negative impacts on the environment. The research titled "Application of Pineapple Leaf Fiber as Smart Textile Using Temperature Sensor in Furniture Products" focuses on the advantages of cellulose- rich pineapple leaf fibers, human needs in indoor spaces, and the evolving smart textile industry, providing reasons to develop advanced research in this field further. The research emphasizes the textile's most substantial structure in processing pineapple leaf fibers for furniture products explicitly. Furthermore, to support and enhance the value of pineapple leaf fiber characteristics, there is an exploration of the most feasible cooling channel to be integrated into furniture products. Therefore, the objective of this research is to enhance the potential application of PALF (Pineapple Leaf Fiber) as an alternative material in furniture products and produce furniture items made of PALF textile with temperature sensors under the collection name "Peaire”, which stands for Pineapple Leaf Fiber Leisure, including lounge and ottoman chairs.
