Description
Summary:Disaster Search and Rescue (SAR) is one of the most serious social issues. However, based on field studies conducted through interviews with several senior members of SAR teams in Indonesia, the basic needs of the Advance SAR team, SAR Mission Coordinator (SAC) and the On Scene Commander (OSC) during the first three days are still insufficient and suboptimal. The basic needs for the operations of the Advance SAR team, SMC, and OSC include the necessities for them to work, clean water, toilets, beds, electricity, sanitation, and suitable cooking facilities that are appropriate for the conditions as well as mobilization. Based on these issues, researchers have designed a canopy box that can serve as an operational base for the team during emergencies, equipped with facilities and essential requirements for the Advance SAR team, SMC, and OSC to operate for 3-7 days. This product is also designed to be compatible with the mobilization of the team for practicality. The product is customized to fit various double cabin vehicles used by the advance team, SMC, and OSC.
