The concept of social class found in the depiction of The Grand Budapest Hotel as a fictional story made into a film by American director, Wes Anderson, describes a person's social condition and status in society. Classification of social classes like this has been going on from the past to the present and is described by the director through the film as a satire on the social situation that has continued until now. Fashion is a way of communicating one's social class identity and representing one's self. Tea Dress is a dress with a skirt that hangs to the knee or below the knee and has been popular since ancient times. The tea dress has undergone many developments in terms of modification of design and shape, but does not eliminate its function as clothing for certain events. Tea dresses are often worn by various groups of people from different social classes.. Through designing clothes inspired by the film The Grand Budapest Hotel by Wes Anderson which focuses on tea dresses and visual exploration as well as the application of surface design techniques, especially embroidery and beading, a study on social class classification as a contemporary issue is carried out on designing clothes inspired by the film The Grand Budapest Hotel by Wes Anderson.
