Description
Summary:Eco fashion is a movement in the fashion industry that emerged around 2008 and has recently become more popular among the younger generation. This happened due to the widespread of information about the negative impact of the fashion industry, especially in the fast fashion sector which produces a lot of waste. Therefore, many people are now looking for clothes that are more environmentally friendly. In this research, the main focus is to produce the final product using the concept of eco fashion and the method is by using an environmentally friendly- based dyeing technique, Katazome. The motifs produced is inspired by djawa hokokai batik which was produced from laser cut stencil made of acrylic. For the fabric dye, Strobilanthes Cusia will be used, which is a type of indigo dye that can produce a deep blue color with various hues. The research method used is qualitative through the process of surveys, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The results were three sets of women's casual wear and one patterned fabric.
