Summary: | Today, the development of rural areas as tourist destinations has shown a significant increase in focus and priority. The emergence of the tourism sector in rural areas is not only considered one of the special lines in improving the economy and welfare of local communities but also one of the efforts that are considered effective in conserving the natural and cultural resources of the village itself. Therefore, rural tourism and sustainable principles are two things that are closely correlated with each other. In studying the effectiveness of sustainable rural tourism development, several experts have indicated that there is a relationship with the tourism value chain system in the village itself. With the problem of the difficulty of maintaining the sustainability of rural tourism, this research examines how the tourism value chain is actualized in its context as a tool to achieve rural tourism sustainability. Taking a case study in Cibuntu Tourism Village, Kuningan Regency, West Java Province, this research uses an orderly descriptive research method with a qualitative approach based on descriptive findings through semi-structured interviews with four relevant informants. The results of the research analysis show that most of the elements forming the sustainable rural tourism value chain according to the model synthesized in the early stages of this study have been identified and formed a chain system. Nevertheless, some elements need to be improved. |
