These artifacts can be discovered from the farthest point of the seacoast to the heart of Lasem City. As Lasem has grown, so have the variety of cultures, technologies, religions, and customs in the area. It is impossible to isolate the growth of Lasem City from the presence of a road system nearby. Three connecting networks, including roads, rivers, and railways, existed in Lasem during the colonial period. However, due to efficiency and obsolescence, Lasem's river and train networks eventually became inoperable. The road system utilized in Lasem, also known as the postal road or the north coast route, is currently the only one still in existence. The Pantura Road's changing user base is the cause of the issues currently plaguing it and its surroundings. Changes in the types of cars that utilize the Pantura Road, primarily wide, tall, and extended vehicles, have led to new issues, including frequent accidents along the Pantura Road. The only way to travel from one part of Lasem to another in the old city region of Lasem is to pass through Jalan Pantura. Frequent user errors, whether intended or not, are the existing limitations. The area design process used in Lasem City's historic district involves developing regional design concepts that consider the regional context, regional needs, the area's long-term viability, and the presence of culturally significant objects in the design area. The fragmental methods and descriptive analysis were employed in planning Lasem City's historic district since they both allowed for a clear examination of the area's opportunities and challenges. The analysis's findings indicate that the network between the regions in Lasem City's historic district is not working at its best to support one another. By directly connecting the places spread over the area, connecting bridges, shade plants, supporting activities, and illumination, the problem of regional networks in the area can be resolved. Since solving network problems can also solve other problems in the area, it was decided to tackle problems that take the shape of networks in the historical region of Lasem. The restoration and preservation of cultural heritage items in The Heritage City of Lasem district can benefit greatly from the network connections in the cultural heritage region. text |
