Description
Summary:Tangkuban Parahu is one of the active strato volcano in Indonesia, it is located about 15 km north of Bandung City. Tangkuban Parahu has unique Vs characteristics, then an investigation of the seismic structure of the crust under the Tangkuban Parahu Volcano is carried out, using teleseismics receiver function that utilizes broadband seismic stations along the seismological profile (Tangkuban Parahu Volcano area). The recording station used is the recording period October 24, 2021 – March 31, 2022. Based on the recorded waveform, the P, Ps, PpPs, and PsPs wave phases are identified as long as -5 seconds before the onset of P and 30 seconds after the onset of P. Analysis and modelling were carried out using least square inversion and H-? stacking. This H-? stacking receiver function and inversion technique show relatively the same crustal structures including crustal thickness and average crustal composition through the Vp/Vs ratio in the Tangkuban Parahu Volcano area. The preliminary results show that the thickness of the crust beneath Tangkuban Parahu based on five seismic stations is estimated to be around 31.63±0.423km, with a Vp/Vs ratio ranging from 1.7442±0.005.
