The wavelength to be used in the radar imagery is able to penetrate cloud, haze, or rain. This technology can be operated day and night because radar technology is an active system and not depend on sun light. The development of radar technology, which give good prospect in the future is airborne INSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) using two different band (multiband). The use of different band in INSAR, such as X-band and P-band can be used for natural resources monitoring especially for Indonesian forestry area. The height difference between DSM (from X-band) and DTM (from P-band) can be used as parameter for estimating of biomass condition in a dense vegetation, such as number and the height of trees and volume of the forest. text
