However, nyamplung seed oil is not necessarily directly usable. This is because there are impurities that can reduce the quality of nyamplung seed oil, namely resin. In order not to become waste, then the resin needs to be utilized. Therefore, research is needed on the separation of nyamplung seed oil resin to identify the resin content and type of nyamplung seed resin so that its benefits can be determined. In this study, the extraction of a mixture of resin and nyamplung seed oil was carried out by mechanical extraction methods. The purpose of this study was to identify and group resins from nyamplung seed oil. As for the targets in this study, among others, determining the acquisition of resin on nyamplung seeds, identifying the function groups contained in nyamplung seed oil resin, and determining the type of nyamplung seed oil resin in accordance with the function group and phytochemical tests. In general, there are 5 main stages in this study, including raw material preparation, nyamplung seed pressing, mixed separation, fraction purification, and resin analysis. The separation of the mixture is carried out using ethanol and n-hexane solvents in a ratio of 1.25:1. Then, in the purification of the oil fraction is carried out the addition of ethanol in a ratio of 1:1. While in the purification of the resin fraction is carried out the addition of n-hexane in a ratio of 1: 1. In addition, an analysis of function groups and resins is grouped. Based on the FTIR test, the functional groups contained in nyamplung seed oil resin include ????(C-H) CH3 & CH2 / (O-H) carboxylic acid, ????(C-H) CH3, keton, ester, ????(C=C) aromatic ring / (C=O) amide, ????(CH2) & ????(CH3), ????(C-O-C) ester, ????(C-O), dan ???? (C=C). Based on the quantitative phytochemical test and FTIR test, it is known that nyamplung seed resin is a rosin resin which is a class of terpenoid resins and is of the oleoresin type.The yield of resin in nyamplung seeds with multiple solvents is 12% of nyamplung seed extract. The total weight of the resin is 25.54 grams obtained from 208.54 grams of nyamplung seed extract. text |
