Summary: | Today, the rapid development of technology makes technology used in various fields. One of
them is technology used in the health sector. The use of technology in the health sector is
expected to be able to help the process of treating or preventing patients from disease. Infusion
device is one of the technologies in the health sector that is expected to be able to flow the
infusion flow automatically to the patient. Infusion devices are here to overcome the problem
of infusion errors using an infusion set. In administering infusions to patients, either by using
an infusion device or infusion set, a nurse is required to monitor the administration of infusions
to patients continuously. The aim is to prevent errors in infusion administration to patients. A
remote infusion device monitoring system is needed so that monitoring of infusion to patients
becomes more efficient. In designing an infusion device monitoring system, an analysis is
carried out first regarding the needs of the user. The needs of these users then become a
reference in determining the expected characteristics of the solution. To be able to find out the
characteristics of the system solution achieved, set target specifications to be met. System
design starts from making functional block diagrams for each subsystem and making subsystem
behavior. The remote infusion device monitoring system is implemented in a smartphone
application built using the Flutter framework and integrated with the Firebase Database. The
database functions as a data store for the condition of the infusion device during the infusion
process. The smartphone application system consists of a user interface subsystem and a user
identification subsystem. The User Interface subsystem functions as an interface between the
user and the infusion device. In this subsystem, users can input identity, input parameters and
start, stop and pause infusion commands. While the User Identification subsystem functions to
verify and authenticate the input identity by the user. Overall, the remote infusion device
monitoring system that has been implemented successfully meets the specified target
specifications. |
