INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/73873 This research addresses the issues of impractical access division and difficulties in validating the eligibility and validity of access rights. Currently, stringent room controls can cause delays and pose risks to the availability of medical services, impacting patient safety. If this problem is not resolved, various detrimental incidents can occur, including theft and even baby abductions at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung, potentially damaging the hospital's reputation. In this study, the proposed solution is the utilization of centralized access control based on Bluetooth Low Energy technology (BLE). This solution has been designed to meet the specified requirements and specifications, except for partial achievement in water and particle resistance. However, the implementation of this solution has successfully overcome the complex steps in access division and validated the eligibility and validity of access rights more efficiently. Furthermore, this solution employs the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) method for encryption and decryption in the communication security process, ensuring secure transmission and reception of user information. By combining Bluetooth Low Energy technology and AES, this solution offers a high level of security in maintaining data integrity and preventing unauthorized access. text |

This research addresses the issues of impractical access division and difficulties in validating
the eligibility and validity of access rights. Currently, stringent room controls can cause
delays and pose risks to the availability of medical services, impacting patient safety. If this
problem is not resolved, various detrimental incidents can occur, including theft and even
baby abductions at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung, potentially damaging the hospital's
reputation.
In this study, the proposed solution is the utilization of centralized access control based on
Bluetooth Low Energy technology (BLE). This solution has been designed to meet the
specified requirements and specifications, except for partial achievement in water and
particle resistance. However, the implementation of this solution has successfully overcome
the complex steps in access division and validated the eligibility and validity of access rights
more efficiently.
Furthermore, this solution employs the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) method for
encryption and decryption in the communication security process, ensuring secure
transmission and reception of user information. By combining Bluetooth Low Energy
technology and AES, this solution offers a high level of security in maintaining data integrity
and preventing unauthorized access. |
