A questionnaire had been designed and used. for this purpose. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The result of this research showed that government owned contractor companies in Semarang and Yogyakarta tend to apply a supportive leadership style while private contractor companies in the same region seem to adopt a directive leadership style. There is a significant and positive correlation between leadership stile and organization climate, organization structure and organization climate, information technology and organization climate, organization climate and work satisfaction, and organization climate and worker commitment to the company. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on the fact that the site workers (foreman and his crew) education background is low, managers education background is high, the influence of the middle Java culture in Yogvakarta and Semarang. It can be recommended a suitable leadership style for main director, functional manager, and project manager should be a participative, site manager should be achievement oriented, superintendent should be directive. A clear work procedure for project and company levels in order to create a conducive environment for good performance, satisfaction and commitment of workers in the company. text |
