總結:Indonesia is one of the largest archipelagic countries in the world. Moreover, there are so many freshwater areas in Indonesia that they contain various types of biota such as fish and plant organisms in them. The fisheries sector itself is divided into several types and one of them is fish farming in pond media. This profit potential makes fish farmers optimize their ponds to increase profits in various ways such as high density of fish seeds, very intensive feeding, and the use of various chemicals to reduce disease in fish. The results of interviews with fish farmers in Subang stated that fish mortality increased by up to 30% of the total fish population in ponds due to increased ammonia levels in the ponds. The increase in ammonia levels in these ponds is caused by fish excretion such as fish feces and urine and the remains of fish feed that have accumulated. The detection of ammonia levels that is usually carried out by farmers is by considering the relationship between high temperature and high ammonia levels in the pond by dipping their hands directly into the pond. Measurement in this way has proven to be very inefficient because ammonia levels can rise above the threshold without the pond owner realizing it. So that handling is too late and fish death cannot be avoided. Based on these problems, a tool is needed that can be used to measure ammonia levels, detect ammonia levels that exceed the specified safe limits, and provide notifications to pond owners when ammonia levels have exceeded the limit so that mitigation measures such as draining pond water are carried out. This has the advantage of reducing the time, resources, and manpower needed to monitor ammonia levels in ponds.
