Summary: | PPK Gedebage is an area that is planned to become a new PPK in the city of Bandung
with the Technopolis concept. However, PPK Gedebage has an issue with the flood
disaster. Floods occur almost every rainy season. This study identified the
characteristics of PPK Gedebage, changes in land use, calculated the level of flood
risk at PPK Gedebage, and analyzed flood disaster risk reduction based on a Naturebased Solution approach. This research uses qualitative and quantitative methods, or
the mixed method. Based on the research results, it was found that the characteristics
of the Technopolis Area in Gedebage PPK were only seen in the Summarecon Area.
The development of Gedebage PPK can also influence the existing land use pattern.
Land use change that is not controlled is feared to reduce water catchment areas and
exacerbate flood disaster conditions. The flood risk level in PPK Gedebage consists of
Very Low, Low, Moderate, High, and Very High. The southern part of Gedebage PPK
has a higher level of risk of flooding than the northern part, especially in RW 1
Rancanumpang Village and RW 8 and RW 9 Rancabolang Village. Based on this,
recommendations for efforts to reduce the risk of flood disasters using the Naturebased Solution method need to be made. Efforts to reduce the risk of flood disasters
using the Nature-based Solution approach can be carried out in built-up and non-builtup areas. Efforts on land that has been built include green roofs and Rainwater
Harvesting. Meanwhile, on land in the non-built-up category, Bioswale, Wetland, Dry
Pond, Permeable Pavement, Rain Garden & Bioretention, Riparian Buffer, Wet Pond
and Xeriscaping can be used, which have a function other than reducing water runoff,
and can also be used as a medium for storing water. Supervision and control of spatial
planning also needs to be done so that there are no deviations from changes in land
use, given the high level of risk of floods in PPK Gedebage. |
