Description
Summary:Traffic jams often occur at crossroads that connect with the city center. The crossroad that cannot accommodate the large volume of vehicles, building density, and disorderly parking of vehicles are some of the factors that cause congestion. It can increase travel time, create queues for congestion, and cause inconvenience for road users. To solve this problem, adaptive and coordinated traffic light control has been developed. The aim is to design a traffic light control system that can adaptively and coordinatively manage traffic flow at two adjacent intersections, with the aim of reducing congestion and increasing traffic efficiency. This system uses Q-learning algorithms. Because of safety considerations, it can't be implemented directly on the road. So it needs a platform to simulate that smart traffic controller using SUMO programming and traffic miniaturization as the embodiment of two crossroads. The two crossroads miniatures show Cikapayang Street and Sulanjana Street. Part of this implementation consists of acrylic mockup design, miniature traffic light circuit design, and the Arduino software used for the control system. This miniature traffic light consists of an LED Traffic Light RYG, a WS2812B LED Strip, and a dot matrix PCB. The traffic light miniature circuit will be integrated into the Sumo program. When the implementation and testing process of the design are finished, the result that is displayed on the miniature will be compared to the sumo program. It is hoped that the program can work as expected.
