Description
Summary:There have been cases where cyclists faint during exercise, often due to heart issues. Considering that heart rate is a significant indicator of health conditions, monitoring heart rate is crucial for cyclists. In this context, the author proposes a wearable heart rate monitoring system that provides continuous heart rate monitoring for cyclists, complete with an alert feature. This system employs Photoplethysmography-based sensors and will activate an alert if the heart rate exceeds a predetermined threshold, indicating a potentially hazardous condition. Additionally, to enhance functionality, the system is integrated with an Android application developed using the React Native architecture and Amazon Web Services, including Amplify, IoT Core, Cognito, AppSync, and DynamoDB. This application enables users to monitor their heart rate history and receive alert notifications. Furthermore, the system utilizes WiFi and MQTT communication protocols for data exchange between devices. The system has been successfully implemented and there are potential areas for further development.
