Description
Summary:Information exchange occurs every second through various information exchange tools, such as documents. The management and storage of documents are crucial to ensure the preservation of the information within them. Technological advancements over the past few decades have led to a shift in document management and storage towards electronic methods. Various document management and storage applications have been developed. However, these applications have not fully met the users' needs. This final project aims to develop a web-based application for document storage and management, equipped with a search engine called the Intelligent Repository System (IRyS). The application is created using a user-centered design approach to fulfill user requirements. Additionally, the application must meet the aspects of effective use and good utility as usability goals, as well as being helpful as a user experience goal. The results of this final project include the UI/UX design and frontend interface of the IRyS application. The UI/UX design is evaluated using usability testing with potential users of the application. Based on the usability testing, the created interaction design prototype achieved a Task Completion Rate score of 100 out of 100, a System Usability Scale score of 84 out of 100, a Single Ease Question score of 6.62 out of 7, and an Intrinsic Motivation Inventory score for the value/usefulness subscale of 6.48 out of 7. Based on these test results, the interaction design prototype has fulfilled the aspects of effective use and good utility as usability goals, as well as being helpful as a user experience goal. Meanwhile, the frontend interface are evaluated using user acceptance testing. Based on the test results, the implementation of the interface display also meets the users' needs.
