However, cache storage sites remain somewhat cost-prohibitive, accounting for a significant proportion of the financial resources required to operate these software systems. A new horizon of potential solutions to this issue is presented through the paradigm of serverless architecture. This study presents an intricate exploration of the implementation of distributed cache in a serverless architectural framework, specifically employing the AWS Lambda service. Serverless technology enables us to harness the flexibility and scalability features while minimizing operational costs, as this architecture operates on a pay-per-use scheme. Following comprehensive evaluation and testing of the implemented system, it was found to perform effectively, albeit at a slower pace compared to conventional architectures. A thorough cost analysis was conducted on this system. It revealed that the utilization of serverless architecture as a distributed cache could indeed curtail operational costs, particularly for users whose usage is relatively minimal. text
