Description
Summary:Cloud computing technology has revolutionized application development, making it more modern, and providing easy access to computing resources over the internet. One example of cloud computing adoption is seen in the crowd analytics market. Crowd analytics is the analysis of data collected from the movement and behavior of crowds, such as in retail stores, restaurants, and bus stops. Cloud- based deployment is the fastest-growing deployment mode in the crowd analytics market. One form of crowd analytics is checking the density of people (crowd density) in a closed system/room, which has the function of displaying data collected from sensors or IoT devices related to the density of people. This final project will develop a web dashboard to check the density of people and provide cloud-based deployment solutions. The web dashboard development will use Redis University's RediSolar codebase as a reference and application foundation. The deployment architecture will then be developed using services provided by Google Cloud Platform with an infrastructure as a service (IaaS) model. The implementation results show that the system allows integration with sensors to count the number of people and is able to manage HTTP GET and POST requests with REST APIs in real-time with an average server response time of 0.3 seconds. In addition, the deployment of the web dashboard shows that the system has successfully provided accessibility to users through the public internet network.
