Description
Summary:The development of a single photon detector for quantum communication focuses on a low- cost system that can operate with industrial-grade quality. The development of the detector design utilizes the passive quenching and reset circuitry method, along with a transimpedance amplifier as a comparator circuit. The detector's photodiode operates under reverse bias to enhance detector sensitivity. In addition to the detector, there is an interface system and photon counting for processing the detected signals. The test results indicate that the designed detector is capable of detecting a weakened photon source with a power of 5 mW at a wavelength of 785 nm, with the received signal closely resembling that of commercially available detectors.
