Description
Summary:Vessel at the beginning of its creation has a function as a container that holds other objects in it. In the era of contemporary art, the creation of vessels is more often intended as an element of interior decoration that has a strong aesthetic value. This vessel installation work is technically inspired by the structure of ancient Greek vessel structures. The toughness of the geometric character contained in ancient Greek vessels has been proven through several stylistic periods that have survived to this day. The next geometric style becomes the identity of ancient Greek vessel shapes inspired by nature, namely animals and also human figures. Ancient Greek vessels that have a black and red color identity are also emphasized with the agateware technique which also brings out a new visual on the vessel. This work was made with the aim of developing products with ceramic materials into the realm of interior products. The innovation that has been made is the development of agateware decoration techniques by implementing them in the form of ceramic vessels in ancient Greece so that there is a renewal in terms of decoration and the introduction of new shapes for interior elements.
