The Six Sigma approach demonstrates broad application in various industrial sectors to improve process performance and reduce customer complaints through the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) stages. This technique was applied to the production of electrolyte infusion in the pharmaceutical industry of PT. X in July 2022 – March 2023 by determining process capability, sigma level values, and FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis). The initial DMA stage revealed that the problem focus was on the mixing tank and product leakage complaints from consumers with priority for corrective action based on FMEA at an RPN value of ?10. Subsequently, the IC stage was carried out by repairing the mixing tank level sensor by analyzing the chloride electrolyte levels which tend to experience out-ofspecification (OOS). This corrective action increased the mixing tank performance value from Cpk 0.88 to 3.31 and Ppk value from 0.89 to 2.42, as well as fixed the product leakage problem which increased the filling machine’s total sigma level value from 4.14 to 4.63. Controls were also carried out to maintain the improvement process by changing SOPs, routine debriefing, and personnel training, as well as periodic machine maintenance. In conclusion, the application of Six Sigma increases the efficiency of electrolyte infusion production and reduces leakage problems, so it is expected to provide maximum business benefits. text
