Description
Summary:ABSTRACT:

The purpose of this thesis is to develop the Identification Friend or Foe Software (IFF) for target ships, which receives interogation signal, construct and sends answer. The answer contains plaintext and ciphertext. The Identification Friend or Foe Software developed to prevent intruders or illegall ships and stealing of Indonesias ocean resources.

The development process follow the V-Cycle which consist of spesification phase, design phase, implementation and test, CSCI testing (formal qualification). SA/RT is used for functional modelling during the spesification, TOOD is used for design phase, C languages using Borland C ver. 5 compiler under DOS 6.2 operating system is used for implementation phase, and functional test are used for testing phase.

The validation shows that the software complies with the requirements specification.
