Summary:Organic waste is one of the types of waste that almost always increases due to its suboptimal utilization. This drives the need for alternative solutions to reduce the potential pollution caused by such waste. Black Soldier Fly is a bioconversion agent for organic waste that has been widely used for research on organic waste degradation. The aim of this study is to investigate the growth performance of Black Soldier Fly fed with a mixture of solid waste consisting of cattle blood waste with coconut dregs and rice through digestion parameters and proximate testing in the prepupae phase. 100 6-day-old black soldier fly larvae were fed at a rate of 200 mg/larva/day with variations of cattle blood waste addition at 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and chicken feed was used as a control treatment. The results of the study showed that the treatment with 5% cattle blood waste had the best parameters. In addition, feeding with 5% cattle blood waste showed the fastest period of survival, which was 50 days, the highest survival rate ranged from 91-98%, growth rate of 9.01mg/day, the highest waste reduction index of 3.23%, the highest approximate digestibility (AD) value of 61.28%, and the lowest percentage efficiency of conversion of digested feed (ECD) with a value of 9.01%. The proximate test results of the prepupae from the treatment with 5% cattle blood waste showed a protein content of 38.10%, carbohydrate 35.83%, fat 19.535%, water 57.03%, fiber 3.91%, and ash 2.63%. Based on these results, the treatment with 5% cattle blood waste showed the best growth performance and was effective in reducing waste and had good reduction ability.
