Infrastructure development in Indonesia plays a crucial role in both national and regional economic growth. Furthermore, it contributes to reducing unemployment, alleviating poverty, and improving the welfare of the population. Consequently, there has been an increase in the number of construction service providers in Indonesia. The number of construction companies operating in Indonesia reached 203,403 in 2021, showing an increase compared to the 159,308 recorded in 2020. Each construction service company typically employs performance indicators to measure its performance. The performance of these companies can either improve or decline. For example, based on data, 68% of state-owned enterprises are at risk of bankruptcy due to a significant increase in their debt, reaching 1,628 trillion. Undoubtedly, there are other financial and non-financial challenges that construction companies in Indonesia may face. The issues related to the factors affecting performance are applicable to all construction companies in Indonesia, including PT. X Tbk Jakarta, a large-scale company with significant influence in the construction market. Therefore, a further analysis is necessary to determine the specific performance indicators utilized by PT. X Tbk in measuring its performance and how the company establishes these indicators for each directorate within its organizational structure.
