Description
Summary:The construction industry is one of the industrial sectors that play an essential role in the development and growth of the Indonesian economy. The construction industry contributes 9.14% to Indonesia's gross domestic product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2022. The construction industry is related to many parties, especially construction companies. About 80% of failures in the construction industry are caused by poor conditions and financial management of construction companies. And one way to overcome this is to carry out effective reporting and analysis of financial performance. This study analyzes the financial performance of state-owned construction companies based on the Decree of the Minister of BUMN No. Kep-100/MBU/2002. Based on this regulation, a company's financial performance is measured on profitability, liquidity, activity, and solvency ratios. This research belongs to a combination of quantitative and qualitative research to provide a comprehensive understanding of the topics raised. This research data comes from financial report data and annual reports for each BUMN construction company in 2017 – 2021. Based on the data obtained, an analysis of the level of financial soundness is carried out for each BUMN construction company, and a comparative analysis of the financial soundness level of construction BUMN companies. Then, a comparison of these regulations is also carried out as a guideline for measuring the performance of construction BUMN companies with the implementation of financial performance analysis by each construction BUMN company. The study shows that the financial health of construction BUMN companies always fluctuates every year and is influenced by internal and external factors related to the company's operations. In addition, it is known that this regulation can provide good guidelines for measuring the financial performance of construction BUMN companies, as evidenced by its implementation in the financial performance analysis carried out by each company.
