Description
Summary:Teman Bus BTS (Buy The Service) Program is an initiative by the Ministry of Transportation to provide public transportation in urban areas, aiming to accelerate the increase in public transportation usage and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Trans Metro Pasundan Corridor K2BD operates with a fleet of 18 buses with an actual capacity of 30 passengers, connecting IKEA Kota Baru Parahyangan and Alun-Alun Bandung. For long-term service scalability, financially efficient utilization of resources is crucial while still providing a short waiting time service performance to support passenger productivity. By building a simulation model and statistical distribution testing, it is proposed to reduce the operational fleet to 17 bus units, as long as all drivers do not restrict bus occupancy below 36 passengers. It is expected to achieve a farebox recovery ratio increase of 5.88% and government expenditure savings of 1 billion Rupiah annually.
