Summary: | Humans engage in activities to fulfill their daily needs. One of the activities in this
sequence involves utilizing transportation modes for mobility purposes.
Consequently, there is a demand to provide infrastructure and facilities that enable
safe, comfortable, efficient, and cost-effective transportation in terms of time and
expenses. This research aims to examine the fare for the public transportation
service of Trans Metro Pasundan Bus Corridor 2 (Kota Baru Parahyangan - Alun-
Alun Kota) in Bandung, considering the perspectives of Ability to Pay (ATP),
Willingness to Pay (WTP), and the sensitivity level of fare changes on the
probability of mode selection. The analysis results indicate that the ATP value is
Rp. 6,800 per passenger, the ATP for car users is Rp. 10,616.67 per passenger, the
ATP for motorcycle users is Rp. 4,731.88 per passenger, the WTP is Rp. 5,000 per
passenger, the maximum fare to ensure car users opt for Trans Metro Pasundan
Bus Corridor 2 is Rp. 20,000 per passenger, and the maximum fare to ensure
motorcycle users opt for Trans Metro Pasundan Bus Corridor 2 is Rp. 6,000 per
passenger. Therefore, the existing fare of Rp. 4,900 exceeds the ATP value of
motorcycle users. Thus, the fare should be below the ATP value of motorcycle users,
specifically less than Rp. 4,731.88 per passenger. Rp. 4,700 is fare represents the
maximum fare that the government can set. |
