Description
Summary:The Pesanggrahan Public Library in South Jakarta City is designed as a public infrastructure for the reading community. The library, with the primary material of reinforced concrete, will be designed to have two floors on the upper structure and one basement floor that serves as a parking lot. In this library design, a soil retaining wall is needed to prevent collapse during basement construction and a foundation that can withstand loads of the structure above. The basement excavation will be carried out as deep as 4.15 meters. The soil retaining wall is designed using secant piles with a diameter of 0.8 meters and a height of 13 meters. The walls will be reinforced using H350.350 steel strutting. Analysis of the stability of soil retaining walls in excavation and reinforcement is performed with Plaxis2D software using phased construction modeling. In addition, dewatering is designed due to seepage of groundwater and rainwater. The foundation used in this library is bored piles with 0.8 meters of diameter and varying lengths of piles. In areas with basements, the pile length is 30 meters, while in areas without basements, the pile length is 25 meters. Analysis of the lateral bearing capacity of the single pile is performed using LPILE software, while the lateral bearing capacity of the pile group is using GROUP software.
