Chemotherapy is important component in management of breast cancer, but it can cause adverse drug reactions (ADRs). ADRs also affects the quality of life of patients which generally decrease due to chemotherapy. The aim of the study was measuring the probability and the level of severity of ADRs. determine the variables that affect the number of ADRs, measure the quality of life of patients after experiencing ADRs, and assess the relationship between the number of ROM events to the quality of life of patients. This study was descriptive observasional that used cross sectional design and performed prospectively on 86 patients with chemotherapy of Breast cancer in Asnawati ward of Dr. Hasan Sadikin Hospital during December 2022-February 2023. The data was analyzed descriptively to determine the probability and the level of severity of ADRs, using Naranjo scale and Hartwig-Siegel scale respectively. Quality of life was measured using the EORTC QLQ-C30 questionnaire. The analysis showed that ADRs had probability of 70,2% “probable”, 26,9% “definite”and 2,9% “prossible”. While the level of severity of 75,8% ADRs was level 3 and 24,2% ADRs was level 4b. Most common ADRs occurred in females which were alopecia, nausea, weakness, nausea, lacked appetite, and fatigue. Based on bivariate and multivariate analysis, Comorbidity showed a significant relationship to the incidence of ADRs (OR= 21,084; 95%CI 4,213 – 105,506; p-value=0,000). The result of the measurement of quality of life showed showed low global health status scores, the lowest function scale was a role function, and the highest symptom scale was a symptom of loss of appetite, fatigue and nausea. Negative Correlations were found between ADRs and Quality of Life (r=- 0,560; p<0,001). From this study, most patients experienced ROM that was "probable" with a severity of level 3. Patients with comorbidities are at risk of having an increased number of ROMs by 21,084 times. Breast cancer patients have a low global health status score, the lowest function scale was a role function, and the highest symptom scale was a symptom of loss of appetite. The more the number of ADRs experienced, the lower the patient's quality of life. text
