Description
Summary:Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI), Ministry of Health, and Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM) have done various movements to educate the public on how to manage medicine correctly. However, a part of the public still has inadequate knowledge and does incorrect practice on how to Obtain, Use, Store, and Dispose medicine correctly (DaGuSiBu). Therefore, a new method of DaGuSiBu education is needed. This research was conducted to identify information the public needs about DaGuSiBu to make an educational comic and animated video. The survey was done to 385 respondents with cross sectional method and processed using nonparametric descriptive method. The result of this survey is then compared to literature by IAI, The Ministry of Health, and BPOM. The survey result shows Place to obtain medicine (37,63%), Things to be wary of before using medicine (65,21%), How to store medicine (51,29%), and Signs of damaged medicine (60,05%) are the information most needed by the public. A comic and animated video consisting of 8 aspects of Obtain, 8 aspects of Use, 6 aspects of Store, and 5 aspects of Dispose were made from this information.
