On behalf of that, the research has been done for finding the hidrogeologys condition and the potential of ground water recharge in the area. The area of the research is a part of catchment of Cikapundung. The Northern Boundary is on the surroundings of lembangs fault and The Sourtern Boundary is the measuring station of Cikapundung in Gandok. The area of the research takes places between 787500-794500 E, 9238000-9244000 N. And the extent of the area is about 16,29 millions m. The hidrogeologys condition in the area shows that the system of ground water generally is an unconfined aquifer system and some small part is leaky aquifer system. The lithology of aquifers component in the area is the breccias volcanic and sandy tuff. The aquifer of the research area is predicted as not potential aquifer. Based on the researchs results, the extents of natural recharge area that is studied from the soil conditions, the morphology, the lithology, and the natural discharge; is 6 millions m, or 36percent from all of the research area. The amount of groundwater storage based on the water balances calculation is 4,3 millions m/year or 12percent from all of the rainfall, and if it is assumed that the research area is on its natural condition, the amount of groundwater storage is 6,2 millions m/year. This condition shows that nowadays the area of groundwater recharge has alterations. The amout of the charges water and become the groundwater storage in the research area only gives 2percent of contribution from all necessity of groundwater storage on Bandung basin. <br /> <br /> text
