Summary: | PT Berau Coal''s business performance decreased in 2020, then increased again in 2021. The decline in performance in 2020 was also caused by the Covid 19 pandemic which resulted in a decrease in demand for coal needs, so that coal prices fell. Meanwhile, if you look at the employee performance data, from 2019 it continues to decline, so researchers need to analyze the cause.
The data resources used in this research include: 1. Strategic map of PT. Berau Coal
2. Business Unit Performance PT. Berau Coal, in the last 3 years, from 2019 - 2021. 3. Final Employee performance rating data of PT Berau Coal Directorate of Operation and HSE, in the last 3 years, from 2019 - 2021.
The increase ratio of employee performance decline from 2019-2021, this is caused by: 1. Due to business unit performance factors a. There was a decrease in the target and a decrease in the achievement of coal production b. Accidents resulting in serious injury/death, resulting in low safety performance 2. As a result of each individual's performance, i.e. disciplinary performance which can lower the performance score for employees who get a warning letter or are absent from work The recommendation are: 1. All employees must be able to maintain the safety of employees and coworkers so that the safety performance of the business unit will be good. 2. All employees must be able to support the achievement of Berau Coal's production target by carrying out work according to the job desk given. 3. All employees must be more disciplined and avoid violations that can reduce value during calibration. 4. The management of PT Berau Coal can be more precise in determining company targets, especially production targets that can be achieved at the end of the year, so there is a manageable gap between achievements and the initial year plan. Review of achievements can be done regularly, at least per quarter, so that if there are obstacles in achieving the target, a solution can be immediately found, or the target can be reviewed again.
