Summary: | Indonesia, known as an agricultural country, has a rapidly developing tourism industry, and the tourism industry accounts for most of Indonesia's foreign currency. This indicates that Indonesia has the potential to develop agritourism, a tourism activity, by leveraging the potential of agriculture as an agritourism destination, which increases the economic value of agricultural land. It also helps to raise and protect farmland from land diversion. Agricultural land conversion is increasing in Indonesia and it is felt in Serang city. Sawah Luhur sub-district is a district of Serang City with extensive agricultural areas and restaurants selling typical dishes, which attracts tourists visiting Sawah Luhur sub-district and therefore has the potential for agritourism development. It is also one of the designated sub-districts for agriculture and tourism and belongs to the strategic region of Banten province. However, the development of agrotourism requires research in various fields. To achieve the research objectives, two objectives were formulated: identification of agro-tourism potential in the Sawah Luhur sub-district and potential agro-tourism areas in the Sawah Luhur sub-district. Therefore, it is necessary to study the potential development of agritourism in the Sawah Luhur sub-district. In addition to primary data in the form of interviews and observations, secondary data were collected from government agencies, journals, guidelines, and other literature for this study. The resulting data were processed through qualitative and quantitative analysis and used to determine potential locations and zoning of agritourism areas. The analysis revealed that the Sawah Luhur sub-district has the potential to develop agritourism in the form of various attractions (agriculture, aquaculture, and tourism) that are also diverse, accessible from different regions, and accessible. I found it easy. Support facilities to meet the needs of visitors, complete infrastructure, basic institutions, sufficient manpower capacity in agriculture, and a convenient location for agritourism development. However, the poor quality of roads, the lack of public and online transport, the uneven distribution of supporting facilities, the lack of human capacity in tourism transmission and management, the lack of cooperation between government and local communities, the lack of constructive Disadvantages such as land restrictions still exist. |
