Ecotourism has become highly attractive to travelers as it reduces the risk of virus transmission. This trend continues and has led to changes in the needs and desires of tourists in their travel experiences. Even after the COVID-19 outbreak is over, tourism related to cultural values and the natural environment remains a sought-after attraction for travelers. Additionally, ecotourism or nature tourism can provide a different experience for local residents in a city, an uncommon experience that they may not encounter in their daily lives or work environments. As we know, major urban areas in Indonesia, such as South Tangerang City, have a bustling and fast-paced atmosphere, high human mobility, and significant air pollution. Local residents often seek vacations and tourism opportunities to escape the hectic city life and find a new atmosphere within close proximity to their homes. South Tangerang City has a prominent natural potential, namely an artificial lake or "situ" called Situ Pamulang. However, this area has been underdeveloped, lacking cleanliness, and devoid of visitors, making it an abandoned and inactive space in the middle of the city. The design of this area aims to address both design and non-design issues using a fragmental design approach. The design of Situ Pamulang focuses on its function as a ecotourism area and a public open space, adhering to several criteria such as cleanliness, environmental preservation, comfort, safety, accessibility, and beauty. text
