Description
Summary:Floods that occur in Cirebon City are caused by various factors, such as reduced drainage capacity due to sediment and garbage disposed of by the community and slower flow because most of Cirebon City is in the lowlands. The still-conventional and environmentally-ignorant use of infrastructure also exacerbates runoff due to non-functioning infrastructure buildings. Therefore, this study attempts to determine the potential of green infrastructure for flood control in Cirebon City. This research collects secondary data from various related agencies in conducting spatial analysis and SCS-CN (Soil Conservation Service – Curve Number) analysis to determine the potential of green infrastructure locations, reduction of runoff water, and development costs in flood control. The analysis revealed that the types of green infrastructure that may be developed in Cirebon City are biological reservoirs, infiltration ponds, infiltration ditches and dry ponds, with a total area of 258.28 hectares or 6.54%. of Cirebon City. Surface water runoff can be reduced by up to 4.06% of the total potential area of the site. 263,8 billion rupiahs is needed for construction costs, land acquisition costs, and operation and maintenance costs over 20 years for green infrastructure development. Meanwhile, the total benefit based on losses due to flooding was 304.4 billion rupiah. The net present value shows a positive price of 40.6 billion rupiah. For this reason, green infrastructure in the form of bioreservoirs, infiltration ponds, infiltration ditches, and dry ponds may be developed in Cirebon City, but the development costs are not sufficient to reduce surface runoff. We can conclude that it is not efficient.
