INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/74406 The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has brought significant changes to the banking sector in Indonesia with the introduction of digital banking, which is a real-time payment service available 24 hours a day. One of the infrastructures to meet the 24-hour payment service is BI-FAST, launched by Bank Indonesia. Digital banking services must meet the Service Level Agreement (SLA) for total transaction processing time, which includes information queries and transaction queries from BI-FAST within 25 seconds. Currently, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is used in the BI-FAST infrastructure. Up to now, SOA has been able to meet the SLA; however, there is an architecture called Event Driven Architecture (EDA) that can be a better alternative to address real-time issues and meet the SLA time requirements due to its faster response time. In this study, an architecture called Event Driven Architecture (EDA) is designed and developed as an alternative to SOA. Through testing for cases of 25, 50, and 75 transactions per second for batch transfers of 50, 75, and 100, it is concluded that SOA performs better than EDA in information query cases with a difference of 18.4% in results. On the other hand, EDA performs better than SOA in transaction query cases with a result of 111.7%. In terms of total transaction processing time, SOA performs better by 15.4% compared to EDA. Therefore, it can be concluded that SOA is better suited for handling small batch transfers, while EDA performs better for larger batch transfers. text
