Description
Summary:Complex systems are systems that are examined to investigate the patterns of component interactions, system modeling, and formation processes with their component patterns. The model will map various states that are real and diverse. Such as nonlinear models that can produce irregular data, for example in nonlinear dynamics such as climate. The current climate change will have an adverse impact on various aspects of life. The potential impacts of climate change are increased temperature, changes in rainfall patterns, and sea level rise. It is known that temperature and precipitation are important parameters of the impacts that occur and influence each other. The movement of rainfall and temperature changes can be analyzed by comovement. The wavelet analysis method is one method that can be used because it is able to analyze sequences in the time domain and frequency domain. The wavelet power spectrum method is used to determine the volatility pattern and the wavelet coherence method is used to determine the comovement pattern between the two parameters. In this study, rainfall (mm) and average temperature (°C) on a daily time scale from the Bandung city geophysical station in the range of 2018 - 2020. The results of the WPS contour plots explain that high- frequency high volatility for rainfall and average temperature is obtained with periods below 16 days. The volatility pattern with the frequency and period obtained between the two parameters is in a diverse range of months. Meanwhile, from the comovement analysis results, it is known that there is a correlation between rainfall and average temperature, which has a non-phase coherence so that it is negatively correlated.
