Summary: | Dengue fever (Dengue) is a disease caused by the bite of a dengue fever mosquito. The hallmark of patients infected with dengue fever is the presence of NS1 protein in the blood secreted by the dengue fever virus. Dengue fever is common in tropical countries. Indonesia is one of the countries with high dengue fever cases, even the death rate of dengue fever in Indonesia is quite high compared to other countries. This is the basis of this research to develop sensing material for electrochemical biosensor for dengue fever detection. CuCo-BTC was chosen as a sensing material that can support the performance of electrochemical biosensors. The biosensor developed is expected to have high accuracy, fast detection response, and lower price. The use of new materials such as MOF will be tested. The method of this research is experimental laboratory scale and uses a quantitative approach. CuCo-BTC synthesized will be used as a sensing material combined with antibodies and antigens of dengue fever. The results showed that CuCo-BTC was successfully synthesized and characterized. The characterization used includes SEM, FTIR, XRD, BET. The electrochemical results show good current response from the material and show that the material can bind well to antibodies and antigens. From the results, the material has a limit of detection of
0.17 pg/ml. The material also has good selectivity on the analyte used. The stability of the material after 20 days has a performance of 86% from the initial state. CuCo-BTC material can be used as a sensing material for electrochemical biosensors for dengue fever detection.
