Summary: | The development of the times and the rapid flow of globalization have
resulted in the fading of the existence of local culture and historical values due to
the current of globalization and the industrial revolution 4.0 which has resulted in
the younger generation lacking interest, desire and thoughts to preserve the
wealth of local history. History is one of the assets that identify a nation. History
cannot be separated from war. The Bubat War was a war that took place between
the Majapahit Kingdom during the reign of King Hayam Wuruk and the Sunda
Kingdom during the reign of Maharaja Linggabuana. The events of the Bubat War
in the 14th century received responses and welcome from the public. The Bubat
War has life lessons that are relevant to today's youth behavior. Visual novel
games are a medium that is of interest to adolescents by conveying an interactive
story with optional features and storylines that can be different. The purpose of
this design is to introduce the Bubat War and the moral message in it. Data
collection methods used in the form of questionnaires, interviews, observations,
and literature studies. In introducing the history of the Bubat War to adolescents,
a visual novel game with the theme "Bubat War" can be an interesting and suitable
medium for telling the history of the Bubat War with modern storytelling that can
inspire the curiosity of adolescents. |
