Description
Summary:This final project discusses the planning of the Jlantah Dam as a solution to the water problems faced by Karanganyar Regency and its surrounding areas. The region is experiencing a water crisis during the dry season, while the high population growth is also increasing the demand for water. The construction of the Jlantah Dam is considered an appropriate solution. The dam serves several functions, including the provision of raw water and irrigation, renewable energy source, and flood control. The study involves calculations of the potential reservoir, flood discharge, dependable discharge, potential sedimentation, spillway capacity, diversion channel capacity, intake structure, spillway stability, and cost estimation of construction. The results show that the spillway is designed with a discharge of Q0.35BMB and the diversion channel with a discharge of Q25. The dependable discharge is determined based on an 80% probability of occurrence. The dam has sufficient capacity to irrigate a 240 hectare agricultural area and meet the demand for raw water of 150 liters/second.
