Teluk Asmara Beach is similar to Raja Ampat because there are many clusters of coral islands so that many domestic and foreign tourists are interested in traveling to this beach. Teluk Asmara Beach is still classified as a new tour, officially opened in 2017, so lodging facilities are still limited. Villa Asmara Hills is the closest accommodation (31 meters) from Teluk Asmara Beach, but this villa only provides 9 rooms. does not meet the needs of the large number of tourists who come. The other 10 best inns have a long distance of about 30-50 km and take 2-3 hours of travel. Limited lodging facilities near tourist sites is one of the obstacles to a reduction in tourists, because time to enjoy the natural panorama is limited because they have to travel quite a distance to find lodging facilities. Designing accommodation facilities on Teluk Asmara Beach requires a design method that can harmonize the environment and is based on concern for global environmental conservation with an emphasis on energy efficiency. Because Teluk Asmara Beach is an area managed by PERHUTANI (BUMN Perum) where at a radius of 5km from Teluk Asmara Beach there is a mangrove forest conservation. To achieve this, a technology- based approach is needed that can design an ecosystem by conserving energy and existing potential, so this design uses the concept of eco technology. Eco technology is an environmental-based design approach that combines with technology to create designs that produce smart buildings. Buildings that are energy efficient, or can even generate their own energy, do not damage the environment and can integrate the natural environment with buildings and provide a sense of comfort for users. The creation of a 5-star eco-resort facility is intended to facilitate the relaxation, recreation and economic needs of tourists to local residents. The design location is affordable, about 30-50 meters from the Teluk Asmara Beach tourist spot. Tourists do not need to waste time and energy because with this eco-resort they can enjoy many activities in one area. The attractiveness of this eco resort is expected to be able to invite tourists back, empower the surrounding community, so that it can improve the regional economy, and can realize one of Malang district's city branding, namely introducing the natural potential that exists in "Malang Raya". This design method was carried out by means of literature studies and field observations at Teluk Asmara Beach, Malang Regency, to obtain information about Teluk Asmara Beach and its surroundings. text
