Description
Summary:Sodong Beach is one of the potential tourist attractions in the Cilacap Regency area which is included in the 2012 Central Java Tourism Development Master Plan in the first Provincial Tourism Destination sub-region that focuses on developing coastal nature-based tourism. One of the tourist attractions is supported by the natural conditions of Sodong Beach and its surroundings as a place for turtles to lay their eggs. Responding to these conditions, the local community established the Nagaraja Turtle Conservation Center with the aim of providing education to the local community and local tourists as well as to protect turtles. However, the existing facilities are still not optimal while meeting the needs for educational activities for the community The purpose of this design is to create tourism facilities which include educational as well as conservation and research facilities, which provide comfort and giving new experience for users by taking into account the applicable standards and regulations, especially related to sea turtles. This facility will be located in the Sodong Beach Area by responding to the surrounding natural conditions, with the main facilities being education and exhibitions to convey information to the community. The research method used in this final assignment report is a literature study on analysis of existing studies of similar designs that already exist, analysis of location planning to be studied, as well as conducting field observations of the planning locations at a later stage and interviewing institutions related to turtle conservation management, such as the Chief Manager of the conservation area, Cilacap Regency Regional Government staff, Cilacap Regency Youth Sports and Tourism Office staff, merchants, and fishermen.
