influence the form of activity and fulfill aspirations and express ideas that
accompany action. In helping to optimize student learning, the physical
environment must be supportive, in this case the classroom, where learning
activities take place. A good classroom can have a positive influence on the
learning process, an attractive environment will stimulate students' interest in
learning, including reading activities. However, until now interest in reading is still
a problem in the world. Awareness of reading interest certainly needs to exist from
an early age or age in elementary school. Therefore, this study aims to determine
the condition of the classroom and the influence of classroom interior elements on
elementary school students' interest in reading. This research was conducted using
descriptive method through non-participatory observation with research
instruments per-30 minutes and interviews with teaching teachers and students at
an early age, namely grades 1 and 2, with two variables studied, namely interior
elements and reading interest. The results of this study will provide an overview of
the influence of elementary school classroom interiors on students' reading interest. |
