Summary:Interior design exists to fulfill basic human needs for shelter and protection, influence the form of activity and fulfill aspirations and express ideas that accompany action. In helping to optimize student learning, the physical environment must be supportive, in this case the classroom, where learning activities take place. A good classroom can have a positive influence on the learning process, an attractive environment will stimulate students' interest in learning, including reading activities. However, until now interest in reading is still a problem in the world. Awareness of reading interest certainly needs to exist from an early age or age in elementary school. Therefore, this study aims to determine the condition of the classroom and the influence of classroom interior elements on elementary school students' interest in reading. This research was conducted using descriptive method through non-participatory observation with research instruments per-30 minutes and interviews with teaching teachers and students at an early age, namely grades 1 and 2, with two variables studied, namely interior elements and reading interest. The results of this study will provide an overview of the influence of elementary school classroom interiors on students' reading interest.
