| Summary: | The increase in quality of life has caused the number of elderly people in Indonesia
to tend to increase. Against this background and supported by health, economic
and social factors that follow, the need for housing is a problem for many elderly
population, especially for elderly people without relatives or families living
together. With a variety of activities that needed to be carried out by the elderly,
housing facilities are needed that can support, accommodate and meet these needs.
Elderly home facilities are one solution to this problem. In some communities, the
image of nursing homes is still not good, so it is necessary to design nursing homes
that makes a positive and pleasant impression. The design of residential facilities
for the elderly for this final project focuses on elderly women living in Bandung, by
adopting the homey concept so as to produce a positive and pleasant impression. |
