Summary:PT. Agro Mitra Lestari is a agriculture equipment genuine parts distributor. This company has increasing demand year by year but not keeping up with the number of employees in the organization. When the workload in the organization reaches a critical point, some of the key employees resigns. For that matter, PT.AML needs employee retention to keep employees with good knowledge to stay in the company. Based on the research by Medina (2012) and Biason (2020), predictor and booster of employee retention is employee satisfaction. Therefore, employee satisfaction will be measured to gain insights on which aspects of work satisfaction is most dissatisfying in the eyes of the employees with Job Satisfaction Survey by Spector (1985). Next, to focus on the improvement, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) tool will be employed. Based on the result of the IPA, the variables to be fixed are unclear job description (CM3), work benefits that is not as satisfying when compared to other company (FB1), incompetent coworkers (CO1), low attention from supervisors (S3), and dissatisfying rewards when doing a good job (CR3). From this result, the improvement suggestion will be focused on CM3 variable on the warehouse and stock function, because improvement in CM3 variable will result in improvement in other problematic variables, also warehouse and stock function is the function with most overtime days and is the source of other functions’ overtime. The improvement suggestion is by making a job description backbone by using RACI Matrix which is connecting to business process activities mapping by using APQC. Hopefully, the improvement suggestion given to PT.AML will be the base for overall employee satisfaction improvement.
