The chemistry of which has never been reported. <br /> <br /> <br /> The investigation of the chemical constituens isolated from the n-hexane extract of the tree bark of Litsea cordata had been carried out . Liebermann-Burchard test on the isolated did not show that they were steroid, triterpenoid or flavonoid compounds. Separation of the extract into its components was carried out using column chromatography technique followed by mass spectrometric analysis. Several compounds were identified as p-cymene , myristaldehyde, stearaldehyde and azulene. text
