Description
Summary:Every child in Indonesia has the right to grow and develop safely and to be protected from violence and discrimination. Unfortunately, the presence of child violence is threatening their rights and safety. In Indonesia, cases of child abuse are still increasing every year. With technological advances, violence against children can now be more easily carried out through cyberspace anonymously and privately, so the number of sexual violence cases is increasing and perpetrators are difficult to catch. A new method that is increasingly being used is grooming. Grooming is a process of manipulation by the perpetrator to force the victim into sexual intercourse. This process can last a long time. Child grooming is a slow and quiet method, so it is difficult to detect. According to the survey result, as many as 41.8% of respondents do not have insight into child grooming. This increasing issue of child grooming has high urgency. Thus, in order to fulfill the need for knowledge about the dangers of child grooming, a medium that is educational and interesting to learn from is needed. This research aims to design an interesting and educational illustration book about the dangers of child grooming for adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18. The illustration book medium was chosen based on the survey results, which showed that as many as 97% of respondents had never read an illustration book about the dangers of child grooming before. With an illustrated book that is designed educationally, it is hoped that it can become a new and interesting educational platform for the target audience.
